The PIRATE 18 now has all stainless rails, fittings and 4 rod rocket launcher tower with navigation lights, tonneau cover and bulkhead panel fitted as standard.
In line with the continuing success of the Pirate 21 this practical 18 footer has been designed with the same basic principals in mind. A robust boat which will take you to your mark quickly, safely and comfortably, and once there provide you with a stable, practical fishing platform. One year on from the launch and the first 10 have left the factory. Feedback from our leisure customers has been excellent and our commercial customers report that the boat's performance is well up to the job.
The boat uses the same proven hull as the centre console version, designed and built by Pirate Boats for over 10 years. It has a gullwing profile with an extreme deep v. This unique hull eliminates the slam and instability usually associated with boats of this size, meaning a comfier and dryer ride for you and most importantly more time fishing marks when others are struggling to get there or turning for home! The hull planes at low speeds and slips through the water easily achieving 30mph with just a 50H.P outboard.
Internally it is instantly obvious that this boat has been designed for the fishing enthusiast based on structure which has been designed to live up to the expectations of fishermen. As with all Pirates twin aerated 30ltr live baitwells are a standard feature, a must for modern sea fishing, and thanks to customer feedback we now fit an upgraded pump and inline seacocks as standard. The size of the cockpit is truly cavernous for the size of boat and provides ample room for four to fish..
A quality swivel helmsmans seat is fitted as standard and the positioning of the helm allows the boat to be piloted from either a standing or seated position. The cuddy contains ample seating for even the larger fisherman an integral fishing tackle box and an insert to convert the seat into a small berth. Wrap around polycarbonate windows bolted and sealed give excellent all round visibilty. A high quality aluminium and plate glass hatch with support struts helps to make anchor work safe and easy.
